Freedom from Religion…

I once read that freedom of religion was freedom from religion. I disagree. In its purest definition, religion is simply a system of beliefs. Some may consider morality relative, but there is not one person on earth that does not live his life, and view others, through the lens of what he believes is right or wrong. Everyone lives according to a system of beliefs. Those beliefs may be far removed and even the antithesis of what we commonly view as religion, but they are nevertheless there. As far as I can see, the only way to live without beliefs is to live in some mindless, comatose state. Considering this, I would not approach life with the intent of being free from beliefs. Rather, I would try to find the beliefs that brought me freedom.
